Meet Coach Blevins: Coach Blevins is an Algebra 1 teacher at Plainfield High School. Coach Blevins attended Sullivan High School where she was a cheerleader. She then cheered at Indiana State University and earned her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education with middle school endorsements in math and social studies. She earned her Master’s degree in Mathematics education and her Administrative license from Ball State University. Coach Blevins taught in Pendleton and Danville prior to becoming a part of the Plainfield staff. This is her fourth season with the track and field team. When not teaching or coaching, Coach Blevins enjoys running long distances (especially at Disney World), traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Coach Blevins is in charge of the sprinters and the following events: 100, 200, 4x100 relays.
Meet Coach Craney: Coach Craney ran high school track for Hamilton Heights High School in Arcadia, Indiana. While attending Hamilton Heights he participated in the 110 Hurdles, 300 Hurdles, 400 Meter Run, High Jump and the 4x400 Relay. His most memorable moments were when his team won the Conference Championship his senior year and setting the school record in the 300 Meter Hurdles, which he still holds today. Coach Craney was given the opportunity to run track for Indiana State but chose to play football at Butler University instead. After high school Coach Craney attended Butler University and received his Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. He later went to IU to get his Master's Degree in Technology Integration. Coach Craney is married to Molly Craney; teacher at Van Buren. They have 4 children, Miles, Mia, Lena, and Lincoln. Coach Craney is in charge of the sprinters and the following events: 100 Meter Dash, 110 Hurdles, 200 Meter Dash, 200 Meter Hurdles, High Jump, and 4x100 relay.
Meet Coach Meyers: Coach Meyers is a 6th grade language arts teacher at PCMS. Although she comes from a big track family, her primary sports growing up were volleyball and tennis. After graduating from Shelbyville High School, Coach Meyers attended Ball State University and earned her Bachelor's degree in elementary and special education. She taught special education in Mooresville before landing her dream job at Plainfield. This is her seventh season with the track team. She coaches sprints, relays, and long jump. Apart from teaching and coaching, Coach Meyers loves to read, travel, and spend time with her family. Coach Meyers is in charge of the sprinters and the following events: Long Jump, 100, 200, and 4x100 relay.
Meet Coach Hally: Coach Hally is currently the 8th grade school counselor at PCMS. Before counseling, Coach Hally ran cross country and track at Southport High School and Hanover College. In collegiate track & field, Coach Hally competed in the 1500, 3000, and 5000 meter run. After Hanover, he earned his masters degree in counseling from IUPUI. This is his first year at Plainfield after 3 years as a counselor and coach at Avon. Coach Hally and his wife, Bailey, are Plainfield residents and you can often see them walking their dog, Ruby. Coach Hally is currently training for the 2024 Monumental Marathon in the hopes of qualifying for the 2026 Boston Marathon. Coach Hally is in charge of the following events: 1600m Run, 2400m Run, and the 4x800 relay.
Meet Coach Woodford: Coach Woodford graduated from Southport High School and attended IUPUI. She was a record holder for both 300m Hurdles and High Jump. She competed in High Jump at the State Finals for 3 years and Nationals for 1 year in Syracuse, NY. Coach Woodford also advanced to the State Finals in Cross Country. She has attended numerous clinics and training sessions held by great coaches starting from our local High School level all the way up to Olympic coaches. Coach Woodford previously coached at Southport High School (7 years Track & Field & 3 years Cross Country); Mooresville Christian Academy (3 years Cross Country); and PCMS Track and Field for 7 years. Coach Woodford was a staff member with the PAAVO Cross Country program for 5 years, which is used throughout the nation for state competitive teams. She has been involved in PAAVO since she was a high school athlete. Coach Woodford is married and has 3 children, all PHS graduates. Coach Woodford is in charge of the Mid-Distance and the following events: 4x400 M, 400 M, 800 M, and 4x800 M Relay
Meet Coach Roy: Coach Roy is a Plainfield graduate. Coach Roy threw shot and discus while attending Plainfield High School, where he also played football and basketball. Coach Roy has an associate's degree in radio and television communication. Coach Roy works for The Indiana Law Enforcement Academy as a systems analyst. In coach Roy’s free time, he enjoys watching sports and movies. This year he is coaching shot put and discus.
